Yoshida in line for win, Maui leads 3-1 through 5
August 10, 2011 - Robert Collias
Eri Yoshida left after throwing 81 pitches, 41 for strikes, with a 3-1 lead through five innings, putting her in line for her first win in this league.
She gave up three walks, four hits, one run and struck out one and got a lot of help from her defense, but her knuckleball was dancing all night. When she got through the fifth, the knowledgable Maui crowd gave her a strong ovation.
Na Koa vice president Bob Elder announced over the PA system in the fifth inning that the Lake County Fielders will be on Maui for the final four games of the home season, Wednesday through Saturday.
