Yoshida up 1-0 after 1 1/2 innings

Na Koa Ikaika Maui pitcher Eri Yoshida got through the second inning unscathed and in the lead 1-0 after an inning-ending double play helped her out of a bases-loaded jam, that came about on a walk and two singles.

She threw 26 pitches in the inning, 15 for strikes. In the game, she has not allowed a run, but the Caps have three hits, three walks, and has thrown 23 of 47 pitches for strikes.

Maui now leads 2-0 through two innings after an RBI groundout by Richard Bargewell in the bottom of the second.
